Turin International Airport choses Enterprise-wide MVP system for public and staff information distribution

Choosing Midas ViewPoint allowed one major European airport to manage its own information system and plan future expansion without heavy reliance on external consultancy services.

Since trials began with a small test system in the summer of 1998, the airport's IT staff have developed a number of information display and interface forms, enabling them to deploy operational information throughout the airport to a wide range of staff and management.

The new system was installed and commissioned within just 10 days, with display public information on nearly two hundred 28" monitors and a larger number of staff workstation terminals.

One of the principle IT engineers involved with the project said "With Midas ViewPoint we've been able to design information screens and hook them straight in to our database without any programming at all - it provides both simple and complex features - this is the best technology available anywhere".
